Biography
Daimen Miller is a Western University student pursuing an Honours Specialization in Computer Science with a Minor in Software Engineering. He is a software developer with a strong interest in full-stack development, entrepreneurship, and building technology that solves practical, real-world problems.
As a Full-Stack Developer with Crux Planner, Daimen has helped build an academic planning and student-community platform designed to make course selection, scheduling, studying, and connecting with other students easier. His work with the Crux team has contributed to several notable achievements, including Best Research & Innovation at the 2026 Canadian Tech Summit, as well as 1st Place and the People’s Choice Award at Western’s Morrissette Entrepreneurship Startup Challenge.
Daimen is also an active hackathon participant and project builder. He was part of the team behind CareLink, an offline-capable healthcare coordination platform designed for rural and remote communities, which earned second place overall at Western Developers Society’s Spark 2026 hackathon.
His other projects include TorqueDesk, a full-stack automotive repair-management application built using technologies such as C++, SQLite, and Qt, and Secruxity, an AI-assisted security-camera platform developed at Hack Western 12. He has also built a full-stack Matrix Calculator using React, Java, and Spring Boot.
Across his projects, Daimen has worked with technologies including React, Next.js, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, C++, SQLite, WebRTC, Docker, and AI-powered development tools.
